Women Street Photographers on show in New York

A group of 75 female street photographers will exhibit their work in a New York gallery in December. It’s the initiative of photographer Gulnara Samoilova, founder of the popular Women Street Photographers account on Instagram.

Samoilova, who has been working with the Associated Press and was awarded with a World Press Photo Award in 2002, announced the participating photographers in a live Instagram video earlier this week. Samoilova, along with fellow judge, Donna Ferrato, chose Gisele Duprez as the winner of the solo exhibition. Among the 75 photographers displaying work are Ania Klosek from Burn My Eye, Efi Logginou from interCollective and Poupay Jutharat. I myself (Julie Hrudová / founder of StreetRepeat) am also very happy to be included.
